Editorial Policy

How we keep local service research useful, transparent, and current.

Purpose

Our pages are built to help homeowners compare local service options, understand cost drivers, prepare better quote questions, and avoid vague estimates. We do not present a page as a substitute for current licensing, insurance, code, permit, or contract review.

Research Standards

  • Pages should identify the service, location, likely cost variables, and practical quote questions.
  • Claims about local conditions should be tied to stable sources, such as public population data, state context, climate patterns, or provider-published information.
  • Provider comparisons should be treated as research shortlists, not guarantees of quality or availability.
  • Unsupported testing, ranking, traffic, or review claims should be removed or rewritten as public-signal research.

Updates

Large programmatic updates are marked through page metadata, sitemap last modified dates, and internal change checks. Pages are reviewed again when service categories, public data, crawler behavior, or search quality requirements change.

Corrections

If a page has outdated information, missing context, or a provider concern, use the contact page and include the URL, the issue, and any supporting source.
